Our School

Home of the Tigers

Terry Fox Elementary was officially opened on January 28, 1983 by Rollie & Betty Fox parents of the late Terry Fox. It was an honour for our school to be named after Terry Fox, a courageous and determined young man, who set out to run across Canada to raise awareness about the devastating effects of Cancer. His incredible spirit captured the hearts and minds of all Canadians and people worldwide. His legacy continues through the Terry Fox Foundation which has raised millions of dollars for the hope of one day finding a cure for Cancer.

Our K - 5 school is home to 245 Kindergarten to Grade 5 students. We also house a Strong Start Drop In Centre for pre-school children and their parents. In addition we have Little Hands Pre-School, Hand in Hand Before and After School Care. In September 2010, we welcomed the Next Step Program, a Fraser Valley Child Development Centre program supporting young people with autism.

We pride ourselves on offering classes that truly meet the needs of all learners.
