Kindergarten Registration & Gradual Entry Schedule

Please Note: To be registered for Kindergarten in September 2018, children must turn 5 years of age between January 1 and December 31, 2018.

January 2018 ~ Kindergarten Registration begins on January 2018.  Please see below the line for additional information on what to bring when registering your child.

April 17, 2018 ~ Parents, and their children (3 – 5 years old in 2018) are invited to come to a Ready, Set, Learn (RSL) event at their neighbourhood school. Please join us at Terry Fox Elementary's RSL event on April 17, 2018 from 6-7pm. As a parent, how do you know what skills and knowledge are really important for school success? Should you be teaching letters? What is more important for developing printing, playing with cars on the floor or practicing letter formation? Kindergarten teachers & community partners in Abbotsford are having open houses at local schools. Please join us! Every child will be given a bag of learning supplies. Parents will be given resources and ideas about how to support their child in using these materials. Please see the bottom of the page for a .pdf document with a full list of RSL events happening in the Abbotsford School District (TBA).

September 4, 2018 ~ This is the first day of Kindergarten Gradual Entry. Parents are required to attend a 9am meeting with their child.
